We chose to make the seam along the width because it could be placed at the level of your knees/feet or at the level of your head and under your pillow, so it would not be disturbing. We wanted to purchase a wool mattress protector for our new mattress, but oddly we could not find one for sale in the U.S., other than thicker/fluffy wool versions. I found exactly the type of wool pad I was looking for on the Home-of-Wool website. While I was somewhat hesitant to import directly from an unknown manufacturer in Bulgaria to the U.S., the many positive reviews gave me comfort. The shipping/delivery process was very efficient, with timely updates and quick delivery.
The protector is an ideal thickness – it offers good protection but is not bulky – and it is very well made. It fits our mattress perfectly – both a good fit on top of the mattress and also with the corner elastic placeholders.

I’ve always been a bit worried about protecting my mattress from HomeofWool, so I decided also to purchase their mattress cover. It fits perfectly, as I would expect. Additionally, the quality is exceptional. The weave is tight but breathable for summer and would evidently repel water or unwanted moisture. Import into Japan is always hit or miss, but HomeofWool has gotten it spot on each time with no issues. I can’t wait for my next purchase– maybe a comforter? Thanks for the amazing job you do!
