Free from dyes, bleach, and chemical treatments, the organic cotton cover allows the wool to breathe naturally while standing up beautifully to years of regular use.

Every Basta® Essential Wool Mattress is made by hand using certified natural materials and contains no synthetic foam, chemical flame retardants, or unnecessary additives. The result is a natural standard-size mattress designed to make choosing easier without compromising on comfort, craftsmanship, or material quality.

To make larger mattresses practical and safe to deliver, all Basta® mattresses wider than 135 cm are constructed in two equal sections and shipped in separate packages. The two sections connect securely with a discreet zipper, creating a unified sleeping surface. The joining seam does not affect the mattress’s comfort or performance and cannot be felt while sleeping.
