Its natural resilience cushions the body while providing balanced support without synthetic foam or springs.

The wool filling is enclosed in a durable, heavyweight GOTS-certified organic cotton cover. Selected for its strength, breathability, and comfortable feel, the cover allows air and moisture to move naturally through the mattress. It is made without dyes, bleach, or added chemical treatments and is designed to withstand regular use over time.

Each Basta® Essential Wool Mattress is handcrafted using carefully selected natural materials. Mattresses wider than 135 cm are made in two equal sections for safer handling and delivery. The sections arrive in separate packages and connect securely with a discreet zipper to form a unified sleeping surface.
