If you’ve ever checked on your child in the middle of the night, wondering if they’re too hot or reaching down to pull the duvet back over tiny shoulders, you know how quickly little sleepers can go from cozy to uncomfortable. The Basta® Kids Wool Duvet combines GOTS-certified virgin wool batting with a lightweight GOTS-certified organic cotton shell to create a breathable layer of natural comfort. Designed for children’s everyday sleep, it helps manage warmth and moisture without relying on polyester or other synthetic filling materials.

Available in carefully selected standard kids’ duvet sizes, its filling weight and construction have already been determined. Parents only need to choose the appropriate size for their child’s bed without comparing numerous materials, weights, and construction options.

The GOTS-certified virgin wool batting gently surrounds the body while helping regulate temperature and manage moisture throughout the night. Wool responds naturally to changing conditions, providing warmth when temperatures fall while allowing excess heat and humidity to escape in warmer conditions.

The wool filling is enclosed in a lightweight GOTS-certified organic cotton shell selected for its softness, breathability, and durability. Together, the wool and cotton create a comfortable sleeping environment without the clammy feel associated with less-breathable synthetic materials.

Each Basta® Kids Wool Duvet is handcrafted using carefully selected natural materials. It contains no polyester, synthetic fibers, silicone treatments, chemical flame retardants, or unnecessary additives. This straightforward construction preserves the wool’s natural breathability, resilience, and moisture-managing properties.

The duvet is intended as a versatile option for changing seasons, although a child’s warmth requirements will vary according to age, room temperature, sleepwear, additional bedding, and personal preference. Parents should select age-appropriate bedding and regularly check that their child is not becoming too warm.

Because the filling is made from pure natural wool batting without synthetic stabilizers, the duvet must not be machine-washed or hand-washed. Regular airing is usually sufficient for routine freshness, while a removable duvet cover helps protect it during everyday use.
