GOTS also sets processing and social criteria; it does not mean that every permitted component or processing input is organic. GOLS is the relevant standard for organic latex.<\/p>\n

Non-toxic expresses a common buying priority, but it isn\u2019t a certification. OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100<\/a> tests certified textiles against limits for specified harmful substances; emissions standards such as GREENGUARD Gold<\/a> address substances released into indoor air. A current certificate is most useful when its scope clearly identifies the filling, fabric or finished product it covers.<\/strong><\/p>\n

If \u201cchemical-free\u201d is what brought you here, more precise descriptions will help you choose. You may want wool without shrink-resist treatment, an unbleached cover or a mattress without synthetic foam or added adhesives.
