Let’s Talk Wool
Home of Wool: How did you find out about us?
At first, I found you while doing mattress research, but I didn’t make any purchases back then. Later on, I stumbled upon you again through Etsy. I was looking for this and that, and suddenly Home of Wool popped up. I was searching for products for my baby, and probably that was the reason you appeared. I made my first purchase through Etsy.
Home of Wool: What made an impression on you? What piqued your interest in our products?
We wanted to get something more than a bunch of cheaper, low-quality products that aren’t going to last, or really bring any style or joy to the table. It’s hard to find something that has wool stuffing and has health benefits for the baby.
The changing pad, for instance, is probably the best thing we have ever purchased for the baby. It’s so durable, versatile, and multifunctional. And from there, we were like, “How of Wool is so good, oh they also do furniture!”
Slowly over time, you can replace a lot of pieces with wool alternatives, and that’s better both stylistically and health-wise. The house feels cleaner, and it’s easier to clean. It’s fun!
Home of Wool: Did you see any benefits? Any problems that have been solved by our products?
With the mattress – more comfort. My daughter has the mattress from you guys, and compared to ours, there really is a big difference in terms of quality. The style element is really good, and the mattress is really cute! It’s a beautiful handmade item that adds a lot of interior design benefits as well. Then again, the house is cleaner. There are just a lot of benefits to the Home of Wool products in general.
Home of Wool: Did you experience any problems with your shipping?
No, the shipping is really fast. It was even fun to get the mailman to bring us the giant bean bag chair! Unwrapping it was fun. We never had problems with the shipping. When you say “express,” it really is that fast. Even normal shipping is fast—at least that was the case for the US and France.
Home of Wool: Is there something you would like to improve about our products?
I’m not sure. Maybe with one or two items, I would choose a different material for the covers. In the beginning, I really didn’t know what cover would be best in what situation. With the nursing pillow, I think getting the linen cover over the wool one would have been better. But then, the wool cover for the bean bag chair is pretty good – it’s waterproof, it’s easy to clean, it’s washable, and it’s easy to brush the pet hair off it.
Other than that, I don’t know; the mattress has a handle that is really good. You can machine wash the cover. Everything usually works out really well with the Home of Wool products, it makes us want to continue shopping with you guys and, over time, investing in your pieces rather than go somewhere else because you are really going to get way more out of the products and they are going to last a long time.
You are one of the few brands using wool. I’ve had other wool company products and they aren’t as nice!
Home of Wool: You’ve got quite a few of our wool creations, do you have a favorite one? If so, why?
Oh, yeah. The changing table pad is really just the best thing ever. I love the bean bag chairs and mattresses, obviously, but if there was the best thing we spent money on – the travel pad has saved us many times. It’s really functional and beautiful, and it’s easy to transport. We have it with linen, and the cover is great for changing the baby—it’s washable, soft, and has just enough padding to use it in your house or even take it outside. It has a little zipper pocket, and you can put a diaper in there with some wipes, and then you can go.
Home of Wool: How do you feel about our brand? Is there something you would like to add to our talk?
From an environmental and health standpoint, this is something we have been waiting for: making products entirely out of natural wool. It’s so much better than any synthetic fiber, and it’s just what we wanted. For example, the wool sleeping bag is groundbreaking; I don’t have one, but if I ever need one, I will order it.
